Privacy Policy

ToolBrief has no visitor accounts and minimizes collection while using hosting logs, cookie-free Vercel Web Analytics, and real-user performance metrics.

Scope and operator

This policy describes ToolBrief, not the AI tools linked from it. External products process data under their own terms and privacy notices.

The deployed site operator is responsible for identifying its legal entity, contact channel, applicable jurisdiction, and any configuration that changes the practices described here. Those details must be completed before a production launch.

Data processed when you visit

ToolBrief does not currently provide visitor accounts, comments, purchases, or a contact form. The following technical data can still be processed:

  • Hosting and security data: requests can include IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamps, network and device information, and error or security events. The hosting provider may process logs to deliver the site, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, and maintain reliability.
  • Vercel Web Analytics: production pages load Vercel Web Analytics. Vercel's current product documentation says the service stores anonymized, aggregate data and does not use cookies. It can process page path, filtered query parameters, referrer, approximate geography, device type, operating system, browser, and event time. Vercel describes a request-derived visitor hash that resets daily and is not intended to track a person across days or sites.
  • Vercel Speed Insights: production pages load Speed Insights to collect real-user performance data such as TTFB, FCP, LCP, INP, and CLS, together with route, device, and approximate location dimensions available in the service.
  • Optional custom events: when the site operator enables the custom-analytics environment setting, the site can record events such as an outbound tool click, an article-to-tool click, a language change, a filter action, or a search. Event properties use page or content identifiers rather than account identity. Search terms that resemble an email, URL, phone number, or long number are discarded; other terms are normalized and shortened before an event is sent.

Do not enter personal, confidential, or secret data into the public search box. A search can also appear in the page URL and local browser history depending on the interface.

Technical data is used to deliver and secure the website, detect failures and abuse, understand aggregate use, improve navigation and content, and measure Core Web Vitals. The site operator must determine and document the appropriate legal basis and notice requirements for the deployed jurisdiction and configuration.

ToolBrief does not currently use analytics data for behavioral advertising, build visitor advertising profiles, or sell visitor data. If advertising, affiliate tracking, additional analytics, accounts, newsletters, forms, or other collection is added, this policy and any required consent controls must be updated before the feature launches.

Providers, transfers, and retention

Vercel provides hosting, Web Analytics, and Speed Insights for the current implementation. Its Web Analytics privacy documentation and privacy notice describe its collection, storage, transfers, retention, and rights processes.

Retention depends on the data type, provider plan, security need, and applicable law. The operator should keep access to analytics and operational logs only as long as needed for the purposes above and configure provider retention where available. Deleting an entry from an operator dashboard may not immediately remove security logs, billing records, backups, or provider records retained under separate obligations.

Service providers can process information in countries other than the visitor's. The deployed operator must assess applicable transfer mechanisms and publish any required regional disclosures.

Tool links, source links, and native sharing features can send you to third-party websites or applications. Those services can receive the destination URL, referrer information allowed by the browser, and data you choose to provide. This policy does not control them.

Your choices and rights

Browser privacy tools, content blockers, and network settings may block analytics scripts. Blocking measurement should not prevent access to ToolBrief content, although external tools can behave differently.

Depending on location, a visitor may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or information about applicable personal data. A request must be submitted through the contact channel published by the deployed operator. The operator may verify identity, clarify scope, preserve data required by law or security, and respond according to applicable law. Because analytics is designed to be aggregate and not associated with an account, the operator may be unable to connect an anonymous data point to a requesting individual.

Security and children

ToolBrief uses HTTPS in production and minimizes interactive collection, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. Do not submit passwords, API keys, private documents, or vulnerability data through public search, query parameters, or unrelated third-party channels.

ToolBrief is not directed to children and does not knowingly offer child accounts. If the operator learns that it collected personal data requiring parental authorization, it should investigate and delete or otherwise handle the data as required.

Policy changes and contact

Material changes update the date above and should be made before the changed processing begins when required. The deployed operator must publish a working privacy contact on the contact page before launch.
