Terms of Use

These terms define the limits of directory information, acceptable use, third-party responsibility, content rights, and the operator's launch obligations.

Last updated: August 7, 2026.

Acceptance and operator

By accessing ToolBrief, you agree to these terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

The deployed site operator must identify its legal entity, working contact method, governing law, and any jurisdiction-specific consumer terms before production launch. If a mandatory local rule conflicts with these terms, the mandatory rule controls.

Informational purpose

Directory content is general editorial information, not legal, financial, medical, employment, tax, investment, compliance, security, or other professional advice. A listing, ranking, badge, or link is not certification, endorsement for every use, or a warranty that a product is available, accurate, secure, lawful, or suitable.

AI products, prices, providers, models, rights, limits, and terms can change after review. Confirm material decisions with the product provider and qualified professionals for the actual account, plan, region, sector, data, and use.

External tools and websites are independent services with their own terms, privacy notices, security practices, charges, and availability. ToolBrief does not control their content, transactions, output, accounts, or data handling and is not a party to a user's agreement with them.

An external link can be changed, compromised, discontinued, or redirected. Users are responsible for checking the destination and protecting credentials, devices, data, and purchases. Affiliate or sponsorship relationships, if present, must be disclosed under the editorial policy and do not change the third party's responsibility.

Acceptable use

You may browse, search, link to public pages, and quote brief portions with attribution where the law permits. You may not:

  • interfere with security, availability, access controls, rate limits, or other users;
  • send malware, exploit vulnerabilities, scrape abusively, overload the service, or automate requests in a way that harms operation;
  • impersonate the operator or a vendor, misrepresent an editorial endorsement, or remove required disclosures;
  • use the site to violate privacy, intellectual-property, consumer-protection, export, sanctions, or other applicable law;
  • republish, sell, or create a substitute database from substantial original content without permission;
  • submit passwords, API keys, confidential customer data, unlawful content, or information you do not have the right to provide.

The operator can restrict abusive access, preserve evidence, correct content, remove submissions, or suspend features when reasonably necessary for security, law, or service integrity.

Intellectual property and submissions

Original editorial text, organization, branding, graphics, and code are protected by applicable rights. Product names, logos, screenshots, quotations, and linked materials can belong to their respective owners. Reference to a mark does not imply sponsorship or ownership.

If you submit a correction, tool, source, or other material, you confirm that you have the right to provide it and that the submission is accurate to the best of your knowledge. You allow the operator to review, verify, quote, adapt, and use the submission for editorial and operational purposes without guaranteeing publication or payment. Do not submit sensitive information.

Availability, changes, and preservation

The operator may change, correct, archive, discontinue, or remove pages and features. It does not guarantee uninterrupted access, permanent storage, a response to every submission, or continued coverage of any product.

Users should preserve their own decision records and verify time-sensitive facts. ToolBrief is not a system of record for contracts, compliance approvals, prices, or vendor evidence.

Disclaimers and limitation

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the site and content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without implied warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, security, or availability.

The operator is not responsible for decisions, purchases, data loss, business interruption, generated output, external services, or other loss caused by relying on directory content, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded. Some jurisdictions do not permit certain exclusions, so these limits may not apply in full.

Privacy, changes to terms, and contact

The privacy policy describes the site's current data practices. Material changes to these terms update the date above. Continued use after an effective update indicates acceptance where permitted; additional notice or consent will be provided when required.

Questions, rights notices, and disputes should use the working channel published on the contact page. These template terms should receive operator-specific legal review before production launch.
