What is Presentations.AI?
Presentations.AI is an AI-first presentation workspace. A user can type a topic, paste notes, upload a PDF, DOCX, PPT or PPTX, or provide a URL; the product proposes a narrative and generates designed slides. The current product also describes inputs from Google Docs, Excel, and connected business systems. Brand Sync can read a company website and apply a logo, fonts, and colors.
This is more than a template gallery. The software aims to maintain layout while content changes, supports collaboration and sharing, and offers engagement analytics. Higher-level workflows can refresh an approved master presentation from sources such as spreadsheets, databases, CRM, analytics, and business-intelligence systems. Some agent and project-knowledge features are limited to higher tiers or marked as coming soon, so confirm availability inside the account rather than treating every marketing feature as generally released.
A safer deck workflow
Begin with an approved brief: audience, decision, evidence standard, slide limit, brand, and call to action. Provide source documents with clear titles and dates. Ask for an outline before polishing design, then assign a human owner to each factual slide. AI can improve structure and reduce formatting time, but it can also invent statistics, flatten caveats, misread tables, create false citations, or overstate conclusions.
Check every number against the original source. Rebuild material charts from controlled data rather than accepting a decorative image of a chart. Verify names, dates, quotes, logos, screenshots, financial labels, units, and footnotes. For investor, board, medical, legal, financial, or scientific work, require domain review and archive the approved evidence set.
Brand Sync is convenient, not an approval process. Confirm that the detected logo is current, fonts are licensed for the intended recipients, color contrast is accessible, and the resulting design complies with the organization’s brand system. Generated stock-like imagery still needs rights and representational review.
Plans, credits, and export economics
Starter is free. The top pricing card currently shows 100 credits and presentations up to 20 slides, while the detailed comparison table shows 1,500 annual AI credits. This is an official-page inconsistency; free users should check the balance shown in their account.
Pro is listed at $20 per month with $240 billed annually and includes 5,000 credits, advanced AI, higher-quality PowerPoint export, analytics, and brand customization. Gold is $100 per month with $1,200 billed annually and 50,000 credits, frontier models, advanced brand controls, and a shared knowledge base. US prices are shown and the site says purchasing-power adjustments may change other countries’ prices.
The FAQ says creating one slide costs five credits and exporting that slide to PowerPoint costs another five. A 20-slide deck can therefore use 100 credits to create and another 100 to export before revisions. PDF and image export do not consume credits according to the FAQ. Count regeneration, imported-deck processing, refreshes, image creation, and repeated PPTX exports in a real pilot; do not divide credits by slide count without the entire workflow.
Editable PPTX export is a major advantage, but “editable” does not mean identical. The FAQ explicitly says transitions and web animations are lost because PowerPoint does not support them. Open the exported file in the exact PowerPoint and Google Slides versions recipients use. Check fonts, line breaks, charts, speaker notes, links, image crop, masters, accessibility order, and offline playback.
Sharing, analytics, and access
Presentations can be shared as web links or embeds. The pricing table lists password-protected links for Pro and Gold; unbranded public links are shown across plans. A password is only one control. Review link discoverability, forwarding, expiration, revocation, download permissions, search indexing, viewer identity, and analytics consent before sharing confidential material.
Engagement features can record who viewed a presentation, when, how long, device type, slide-level time, skips, order, and drop-off. This can help sales and content improvement, but it is also behavioral data. Provide appropriate notice, restrict access to analytics, set retention, and avoid drawing high-stakes conclusions from noisy viewing signals.
The general terms warn that the service may default to its most permissive access setting when a user does not choose one. They also say users should not expect privacy merely from transmitting content through the service. Those clauses make a documented sharing checklist essential.
Privacy, security, and content rights
The privacy policy is dated December 2023 and provides a conventional description of account, device, marketing, social-login, and service data. The published DPA identifies Slide Craft Technologies Pvt Ltd as processor, limits processing to the service, provides GDPR assistance, describes breach notification and audits, incorporates transfer clauses, and lists AWS, Slack, Webflow, Stripe, and Adobe as subprocessors. The DPA describes multi-tenant AWS hosting, logical isolation, access controls, backups, security testing, and an ISO/IEC 27001:2022-aligned management system.
The DPA says personal data is processed for the agreement’s duration and should be returned or deleted after the relationship ends, with deletion as soon as reasonably practicable. Its wording around a 30-day period is awkward, while the consumer terms disclaim a general storage obligation. Enterprise buyers should put exact retention, backup deletion, AI-provider routing, training use, data residency, support access, incident timing, and export assistance into the order form.
Presentations.AI says it does not own user content. However, its general terms grant a worldwide, fully paid, perpetual, irrevocable, sublicensable license to operate and provide the service, subject to account settings, and public areas can expose content to others. Users must own enough rights to grant that license. Do not upload third-party decks, confidential research, personal data, copyrighted images, or client material without authority and an approved agreement.
Verdict
Presentations.AI is compelling when the bottleneck is turning approved information into a coherent, branded first draft and distributing it in both web and PowerPoint formats. The free tier can test the workflow; Pro adds the export, tracking, and brand features most regular presenters need.
Adopt it based on a complete test: source accuracy, revision effort, credits per approved slide, PPTX fidelity, accessibility, link controls, analytics governance, and deletion. The tool should accelerate accountable presentation work, not replace the human responsible for the argument and evidence.
